Bilodeau Insurance Agency was founded in 1950 in Lewiston, Maine, by Dominique Bilodeau, who operated several other businesses at the same time, including a real estate brokerage, oil burner sales, a small amusement park, a restaurant, and more than 100 apartment units. In 1970, Dominique’s sons Richard and Normand took over Bilodeau Insurance and ran it themselves until they hired their first employee in 1983. In 1995, Norm opened a second location in Brunswick, Maine, and hired Ann Tourtelotte to assist him there. Dick ran the Lewiston office until he retired in 2013, and Norm went on to run the Brunswick office until his retirement in 2019. Currently, Bilodeau Insurance Agency is still family-owned and operated by Dick’s son Mike, Norm’s son John, and Ann, who has now been with the agency for nearly 30 years. With a total of 18 employees between its two locations, Bilodeau Insurance is a full-service agency specializing in: personal home & auto, commercial business & auto, life & health, antique auto, coastal exposures, condominium, contractors, flood, high-value homes, inland marine, manufacturers, personal packages, renters, retail, and single & multi-unit rentals.
