Joe McCaffrey entered the insurance world in the 1960’s by selling life and health insurance. In 1968, he was hired by Allstate Insurance to sell various lines of insurance while standing at a booth in Sears at the mall in Leominster MA.

After 11 years in Leominster, Joe transitioned to an insurance office in Lunenburg with his co-workers, where he later retired from Allstate in 1988.

In 1989, Joe became an independent agent and signed on with various insurance companies to provide more options to consumers. Before long, he enlisted his wife Sandy to work with him at the agency, and in 1990, both of his daughters, Kelly and Shannon, joined them.

McCaffrey Insurance Agency is a permanent fixture in Lunenburg and continues to provide both personal and business insurance to the surrounding communities in MA and NH.
